Jordan’s story
Jordan’s Story
On the 19th May 2007 Jordan was out walking the streets with two of his friends they were on their way to meet some girls. They found themselves on a street in the Pennywell area of Sunderland. Whilst walking down the street he noticed a man in a house standing at the bedroom window. One of his friends exchange words with this man and the three of them continued to walk past the house. Several seconds later the man was behind them, chasing them. Jordan ran to the corner of the street and watched what he thought was a fight taking place. His two friends and the man were fighting. Things were moving fast and the fight did not stay in one place, they were moving all over the road. Jordan had picked up a rock and he threw it into the street, he said he did want to hit anyone with the rock. The rock in fact did not hit anyone and fell into the road. The fight seemed to break off and his two friends came towards him, he heard the man saying ‘if you’ve stabbed me you are dead’. He saw the man lifting up his top and looking at his chest. He said he did not see any blood on the man’s chest. He also said he had not seen anyone with a knife nor did he know that anyone was carrying a knife. They then left the scene via a small cut that leads to another estate in the Sunderland area. Whilst walking to this estate Jordan asked both friends if they had stabbed the man. Both friends denied this, one of them stating that the man was only saying it for ‘compo’ (compensation).
Having travelled across the dual carriage way the three friends are now in the Grindon area of Sunderland. Jordan was walking quite a few steps ahead of his friends when he crossed paths with a male who was unknown to him. Jordan said that there was a conversation between himself and the male in which the male offered to sell him smack (heroin). Jordan commented to the male that ‘people who take stuff like that want a smack in the lips’, Jordan then continued to walk past the unknown male. Jordan had got quite a few feet past the unknown male when he heard someone shout ‘ere man what ya deing’. He then turned and saw the unknown male running away clutching his side. He did not see what happened to cause this but when he questioned his friend he was told that the male had got a slap for picking on someone a year or so back.
The three then travelled to a garage where upon being refused service Jordan left the forecourt. He crossed the road and sat on a low wall waiting for his friends. They were by this time heading to their home estate so Jordan could go home.
