SIMON HALL’S DEMO
The idea of this peaceful demonstration is to show Simon our support and to help get his name back into the media.
Our aim on the day is to distribute flyers that we have created in the form of a postcard addressed to Mr Jack Straw.
We will be meeting outside the Royal Courts of Justice at 10.00am. For those of you unable to get into London by this time, please feel free to join us when you can.
Depending on the number of people attending on the day, we could have a police presence, though at this stage it is unlikely.
The Royal Courts of Justice are located at the end of The Strand. http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/infoabout/rcj/history.htm It is advised on arrival into London to head for Charing Cross tube station, walk up The Strand and the Courts are situated at the end.
We hope to stand outside the Courts through-out the day. The reason for this venue is that once a decision has been made regarding Simon’s appeal, this is where his case may be heard.
We are asking as many of you as possible to wear an item of clothing made of black nylon as black flock fibres played a significant part in Simons trial, and we believe, the reason he was found guilty by a jury for a crime he did not commit!
Please feel free to make up your own posters, banners or plackards at this stage, as time and money are short. Though we will do our best to have some posters/plackards made up with Simon’s photo, ‘Justice for Simon’ and his website address on display.
We are looking for one or two of you to dress up in a ‘furry catsuit’ to represent the ‘clumsy cats’ that alledgedly made noises on the morning of 16th December 2001 @ approximately 2.00am………. RSVP for any of you that are brave enough…
You may wish to bring along a packed lunch and something to drink, also an umbrella may be an idea incase of showers.
Portaloos are not available on the day but we have been told that there are several public houses nearby which we may be able to use.
If you are able to join us we would be grateful if you could contact the site as soon as possible in order for us to give the Courts a rough head count. You can contact us either by posting a comment on site or by sending an e-mail with ‘protest’ in the subject line
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the demonstration please let us know…
Thank You and Best Wishes,
‘Justice for Simon’
